WM – Bro. JW, what is the constant care of every MM?
JW – To prove the Lodge close tyled.
WM – Direct that duty to be done.
JW – Bro. IG, prove the Lodge close tyled.
IG – goes to door, gives MM knocks and returns to position in front of chair.
Tyler – responds with same knocks.
IG – Sp and P Sn of MM – Bro. JW, the Lodge is close tyled – completes Sn to recovery and drops hand.
JW – MM knocks, Sp and P Sn of MM – WM, the Lodge is close tyled – completes Sn to recovery and drops hand.
WM – Bro. SW, the next care?
SW – To see that the Brethren appear to order as MMs
WM – To order, Brethren, in the Third Degree.
ALL – take Sp with P Sn of MM.
WM – Bro. JW, whence come you?
JW – The W, whither we have been in search of the genuine Scts of a MM.
WM – Bro. SW, have you found them?
SW – We have not, WM, but we bring with us certain substituted Scts, which we are anxious to impart for your approbation.
WM – Let those substituted Scts be regularly communicated to me.
SW – holding P Sn of MM, leaves ped by N side and proceeds E, keeping to N of centre line of Lodge until he reaches a convenient point just past JW’s ped where he turns inwards to face S and stands with Sp and Sn.
JW – holding P Sn of MM, leaves ped by W side at convenient moment to proceed E in line with SW keeping to S of centre line of Lodge until SW turns inwards with Sp and Sn; JW then turns inwards to face SW, halting with Sp and Sn a convenient distance from him.
JW – takes further Sp, holds out r h to SW and taking his r h communicates p g leading from Second to Third Degree, raises hands head high and communicates p w in a whisper.  Hands are released and JW resumes Sn.
SW – resumes Sn.
JW – takes further Sp, gives S of H, S of S and P Sn to recovery.  JW then communicates F P O F and whispers wds of a MM.  On completion he resumes position holding Sp and P Sn.
SW – follows JW, receiving F P O F, and after communication of words, resumes position holding Sp and P Sn.
JW – salutes SW with P Sn to recovery and holding it returns to ped with Sp.
SW – holding Sn, turns on centre line of Lodge to WM and with Sp – WM, condescend to receive from me the substituted Scts of a MM.
WM – Bro. SW, I will receive them with pleasure, and for the information of the Brethren, you will speak the words aloud – leaves ped by S side, still holding Sn, and faces SW with Sp at a convenient distance.
SW – takes Sp, holds out r h to WM and taking his r h with p g, raises hands head high and communicates p w aloud. Hands are released and SW resumes Sn.
WM – takes SW’s r h at appropriate moment and on release of hands resumes Sn.
SW – takes further Sp gives S of H, S of S and P Sn to recovery.  He then communicates F P O F and, aloud, wds of a MM, and on completion resumes position holding Sp and P Sn.
WM – follows SW receiving F P O F and after communication of wds, resumes position holding Sp and P Sn.
SW – salutes WM with P Sn to recovery and holding it returns to ped with Sp.
WM – after salute, at the same time returns to ped with Sp and holding Sn.
WM – Brethren, the substituted Scts of a MM, thus regularly communicated to me, I as M of this Lodge, and thereby the humble representative of KS, sanction and confirm with my approbation, and declare that they shall designate you, and all MMs throughout the Universe, until time or circumstances shall restore the genuine.

WM – Bro SW, the labours of this Degree being ended, you have my command to close the Lodge – MM knocks (with l h).
SW – Brethren, in the name of the Most High and by command of the WM, I close (ALL – complete Sn to recovery and drop hands) this MM’s Lodge – MM knocks.
JW – And it is closed accordingly – MM’s knocks.
SD and JD – attend to TB and WTs then stand to order in N and S facing E.
IG – goes to door, gives MM knocks and returns to position in front of chair.
Tyler – responds with same knocks.
IPM – conceals one pt of Cs then takes one pace back facing WM.
IPM, SD and JD – take Sp with FC Sn then return to respective positions in front of chairs.
WM – sits
